A: Visitor (Face) views Art (Vase).

Decoding the logo:

Brightly colored flowers in a vase.

Vase turns into faces staring face to face if you look at the postive (white) space.

Q: How did you come up with this idea ?

As an artist , I have shown in galleries and coffee shops and have had work in stores. There is a limited amount of power the artist has over these spaces. I wanted to show my own work on my own time in my own space. I can change my work around, and leave it up as long as I like. I get to meet people who are interested in my work. Since they commit up front to pay for the tour, I get the feeling that they respect my work even if they don't buy it and that makes me happy even before they arrive. I like to give them a good value for their tour money, by providing reading materials, lots of artwork, and snacks.

Q: Art walks are fun and social. Why don't you have an art walk? That way people only pay for a map?

A 1: True! Art walks are fun and a good way to support organizations and artists. However, in some cases if you pay an organization for a map, the artist may not get paid unless you buy their work.

A 2: Art walks are limited to a specific time and place.

Q: Why not go to a museum, gallery, or coffee shop to view art?

A: Museums, galleries, and coffee shops are awesome! However, not all artists feel the need to or are able to show their work in these spaces.

Q: What if there is more than one place I'd like to visit but don't want to spend more money?

A: Choose carefully, save up your money, suggest Face2vase as a gift from someone........

Q: How do I share my experience on a 1 - 5 star level?

A: Please contact Face2vase: learn@face2vase.com

Q: Why would I pay someone to see their artwork?

A: Visiting established artists in their space and learning about their work in person is a privilege that should be paid for. For a worthy price you will meet the artist, hopefully be inspired, and possibly buy some art.

Q: if a visitor buys a piece from the artist, does the tour fee go toward the price of the piece they bought?

A: That is up to the artist.

Q: What does Fase2vase get from this?

A: Face2vase receives a small percentage of reservations.
